Hi! My name is Katharine Stewart and I will be your child’s 2nd grade teacher this year. I love children and am in my 7th year of teaching! In addition to 2nd grade, I have also taught 1st and 4th grade both here at Poupard and in Lexington, Kentucky. My degrees are in Elementary Education and History. I also have a masters degree in Reading & Writing and am endorsed as a Reading Specialist for grades K-12.
My husband Andy is a mechanical engineer at Toyota Motor Co. in Ann Arbor. We have been married for 5 years and are expecting our first child in December. In my spare time I LOVE to read, scrapbook, cook, craft and travel. I know you will learn much more about me throughout the school year and I am looking forward to learning about you as well!
